JD-0002 is a fishing shoe in our range, stocked in the colourway shown on this page and EU sizes 36–47. It is aimed at anglers fishing from boats, rock platforms and muddy banks.

Built for

Fishing footwear deals with the two things most shoes handle badly: standing water and slick surfaces. Whether you are on a boat deck, a rock platform or a muddy bank, the priorities are drainage, grip when wet, and drying out before the next trip. JD-0002 is built for that.

Key features

  • Water management. Drainage ports and quick-drying mesh let water out instead of holding it against your foot.
  • Wet grip. A rubber outsole with a deep, siped tread pattern that channels water away from the contact patch so it does not hydroplane on wet rock or aluminium decking.
  • Light and packable. Low weight so you can wear them all day and stuff them in a bag without noticing.

Materials & construction

Quick-dry mesh and synthetic upper with drainage ports, on a moulded rubber outsole with a water-channelling tread. A cushioned footbed adds comfort on hard decks, and the materials are chosen to be rinsed and reused rather than carefully maintained.

Sizing

Fishing shoes are often worn barefoot or with thin neoprene socks, so fit them the way you will actually wear them. If you plan to wear wading socks, size up half a size. Toes should not touch the front, and the heel must not lift on wet ground.

Care

Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater trip — salt destroys stitching and stiffens rubber. Drain fully and air dry in shade, never in direct sun. Check the tread for embedded shell grit, which is what usually causes a slip.
