SD-066 is a weightlifting shoe in our range, stocked in the colourway shown on this page and EU sizes 39–46. It is built for gym-goers moving from flat trainers into a proper lifting platform.
Built for
Lifting is the one discipline where you do not want cushioning. Every millimetre of soft foam between your foot and the platform is force that never reaches the bar, and instability under a heavy squat is how knees travel. SD-066 is built for squat, deadlift and Olympic lifting sessions.
Key features
- Firm, stable base. A dense, non-compressing sole keeps the foot flat and planted so force goes into the bar rather than into the foam.
- Metatarsal strap. A strap across the instep locks the midfoot down, which stops the foot sliding forward under load.
- Heel structure for depth. A raised, solid heel lets you squat deeper with the torso more upright, reducing the demand on ankle mobility.
Materials & construction
Reinforced synthetic upper with a wide metatarsal strap and a padded collar, on a rigid moulded sole with a raised heel. The insole is minimal by design — this is not a shoe for walking long distances.
Sizing
Lifting shoes should fit snug with a little room at the toe; a loose shoe lets the foot shift under load. Most lifters take their normal EU size or half a size down. Wear the socks you train in. If you have wide feet, size for width first and accept a slightly longer shoe.
Care
Wipe chalk and sweat off the upper after each session — chalk left on synthetic material dries it out. Air dry with the straps open. Check the sole for separation at the toe, which is where a lifting shoe fails first if it is stored damp.
